PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Division of Religion strives to lead all students to a clearer and closer relationship with God, a deeper appreciation of the Scriptures and Christian living, and an understanding of Seventh-day Adventist theology and doctrine.Specifically, the theology program prepares young men and women for work in many different aspects of the gospel ministry by equipping them with the necessary professional skills expected of a church pastor for Hong Kong and Macau and for Chinese people around the world. The religion program prepares a student for a variety of professions requiring a strong religious orientation. Only after students have fulfilled the theology program requirements will they be recommended by the Division for employment as a minister. Both programs are designed to provide the basis for postgraduate study.
Objectives
To prepare students as professional pastors, religion teachers, church leaders and ministers.
To broaden students’ appreciation of the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
To introduce students to the breadth of religious knowledge and understanding.
