HONG KONG ADVENTIST COLLEGE LIBRARY

The library is an integral part of the college facilities. It contributes to the program of the college by providing the materials, which are required in various phases of that program. It serves both students and teachers in the college, non-teaching staff, alumni and other members of the constituency. A wide variety of instructional material is available to support the curriculum at Hong Kong Adventists College.

The library currently stocks over 37,000 English and Chinese books, including Reference books over 110 journals and periodicals, and over 330 audio-visual holdings. These materials have been selected based on curricular needs; to provide inspirational reading material; to address multi-cultural issues; and for general leisure reading. Special attention is paid in the selection of material that they conform to Christian principles.

(2) Location

The library is located at the lower ground floor of the new administrative-classroom block occupying an area of around 6,700 square feet, with a capacity of 40 persons.  A computerized card catalogue system has been installed and can be assessed through the provided terminals. The carrels in the study area are equipped with power points and Internet connection sockets. The library is open for an average of 43 hours per week.

Monday to Thursday:  8:15 am – 5:15 pm

                     Friday:  8:15 am – 3:00 pm
