English Secondary Section Hong Kong Adventist College's English Secondary Section (ESS) is an English medium local school with an international flavor. Our internationally trained faculty focus on providing a holistic approach to learning that integrates creativity, outdoor education, and ethics with traditional academics. Our school believes that learning comes from many sources, including travel, community service, and physical challenges. To this end, our students participate in study tours, regular volunteer work, and outdoor activities like sailing and archery.
Faculty Our international faculty teach only in English. Our teachers come from across the globe with faculty from North America, Europe, and Asia. The Hong Kong Education Bureau recognizes all of our teachers as qualified instructors.
Curriculum English Secondary Section (ESS) provides the programs Grade 11 (F.5), Grade 12 (F.6), and English College Foundation. All classes are taught with English as the only medium of instruction. Programs under ESS are challenging, English-only programs that blend Eastern and Western influences. Science, Math, Social Studies, Literature, and Performing Arts are taught under its curriculum. Classes include Physics, Biology, World Literature, American Literature, Algebra, Geometry, World History, American History, Government, Economics, Religion, Drama, etc.

English College Foundation The English College Foundation (ECF) program is for students who want to transition from a Hong Kong curriculum into an international curriculum. After successfully completing the one-year program, students will receive an Hong Kong Adventist College Matriculation Certificate. This certificate combined with a passing TOEFL result qualifies students to enter HKAC, an affiliate college of Andrews University, or apply directly to colleges abroad.

Completion of Form 5 or equivalent, Conduct B, Passing grade in most-recent English class

HK $3,000 per month
Scholarships may be awarded based on points attained in the HKCEEs and financial need.
High School Program (F5 &F6) Griggs Distance Learning Through its English Secondary Section (ESS), Hong Kong Adventist College provides Form 5 and 6 courses equivalent to American Grades 11 and 12. Students who successfully complete the program will receive an American High School Diploma from Griggs International Academy.

Further education Andrews University and Hong Kong Adventist College
Founded more than 130 years ago in 1874, Andrews University is the flagship university of the Seventh-day Adventist Church offering over 180 bachelor, master and doctorate degrees. Popular subjects include Aviation, Psychology, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, Nursing, Health, English, I.T., Marketing, etc. As a Christian university, strong emphasis is placed on serious scholarship, quality research, and practical Christianity. Hong Kong Adventist College is one of 18 affiliate and extension programs. Psychology and Health courses can be fully completed at our local campus.
Tuition Package
College tuition is HK$36, 000 per year or HK$18, 000 per semester. 12 to 16 credits can be earned per semester. Scholarships and financial aid will be awarded based on GPA and financial need.
Duration
The B.S. in Psychology and the B.S. in Health are normally four-year programs. However, students with an Associate Degree in related fields or equivalent qualification may complete it in 2 to 3 years and earn at least 124 credits.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has various sisterhood universities worldwide that HKAC students can transfer to after 2 years at HKAC.
